Texas, California and Kentucky workshop updates!

I've just finished the last of my Texas workshops this evening and what can I say? Dallas and Houston I love you!!! Thanks everyone for the wonderful time and warm hospitable welcome, I really enjoyed spending time with you and sharing skills, the work you all created was fabulous!!! I'll post a full compliment of images to Facebook as soon as my feet touch ground again in California, for now I'll post a few pics here and just want to say Loomis watch out, I'm on my way! There are still a few places available for the classes there so if you're interested in a two day intensive vessel/purse workshop or a one day technique based class please contact Hannah ASAP. It's a great opportunity to fine tune skills in a marvellous haven for fiber addicts, a smaller class size means more attention for each student!!!

I also want to apologise and alert you to the fact that my second workshop at the KSFF in on SUNDAY and not Saturday, for some reason it was showing up as Saturday on the workshop page so mea culpa. So, now for some pictures……..

Laying out leaves and onion skins in Dallas, it's fun!

What a beautiful scarf Sarah!
It's fun in Houston too, Barbara and Lisa preparing to lay out some scarves
Next post pics of the finished vessels, purse, hat and printed silk!

Portugal week 2 and a lovely last minute commission!

As promised, here's the link to the newly added second week residential felting extravaganza at Dominio Vale do Mondego in Portugal this June. I've also updated the workshop page here on the website to reflect everything that is happening over the next few months, currently I'm planning a trip to teach in Canada again this Autumn so if you're interested please shout out loud now and email me. I don't plan an instant reply (with my impending trip to Texas, California, Michigan and Kentucky happening this week it's full steam ahead as usual at Clasheen) but I do promise to respond as soon as my feet hit the ground!!!

On Thursday last week I got a lovely last minute commission to felt a baby's blanket. This will be used as the base for an embellished family tree and will also be displayed at Nadia's wedding at the end of May. Thanks Nadia for such a charming request, I can't wait to see how you stitch or print the names of your family members to the tree! Here's a picture of the completed piece as it left my studio this afternoon.
